Apple Sells Over 1 Million New Macbook Airs

It's a bit of a slow news day today, I admit.

But Apple has reported sales of 1.1 million 11 and 13 inch Macbook Airs during it's first quarter to December 2010.

This makes up 40% of it's Macbook sales in total, and approx. a quarter of it's Mac sales as a whole!

That's around 60% higher than analysts expected.

And one of the most successful Mac launches ever!

  3. I think people pay the extra for mac books because they want a really good looking laptop. Unfortunately there aren't really any super good looking windows/other laptops out there

  4. Apple overprice specifically to promote exclusivity. It's a marketing trick.
    Works too (for the moment).

  6. I'm really surprised that so many have been sold! I wouldn't really think that they would be that popular, but I guess I am very mistaken.

  7. I simply don't understand why people buy apple products period. Since every year they become outdated by a new model.
